Stop and Remember how far this tech has come

I just watched a great review on the history of mobile technology and people have to reflect sometimes and remember how far we have come. I remember having my first Nokia that was analog before SIM cards and the 2G network was available - I loved using it while my Dad was stuck with his in the Car, hard wired into the car. hahahahah love looking back at this, check it out -

I remember the day when cell phones never existed. And neither did the Internet... It's pretty amazing how far things have come.

When i was a kid, the high tech consumer electronics at our house was a "hifi" television about 19" in a big wood cabinet with a stereo on one side. My mom use to listen to Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra records and we watched about 4 channels of decent TV reception.

We had two rotary dial phones

I think the TV was replaced by a color one about 1972 or thereabouts

I remember browsing the web via monochrome text-only WAP pages. It took like 5 minutes to search for something on eBay. Then I got a Razr and I thought I was James Bond.

Oh don't know, I think the Razr is still pretty sleek for a clamshell phone. Of course for truly thin, I'm pretty sure you still can't beat this Samsung U100 from 2006, at 5.9mm...
