Carlisle, Up Norf!
I have a Mac Mini and an AppleTV fairly close to each other, so when I use the Apple Remote to control the AppleTV, it sometimes controls the Mac Mini as well, which is annoying and I don't want.

I never use the Apple Remote with the Mac Mini, so is there any way to make the Mac stop responding to the Apple Remote?

Thanks.
Mark.

Yes its possible, go into system pref., then click on security. Down the bottom you can pair/unpair your remote with your macmini. When you do this its best to do it away from the apple tv console so as not to mess up the pairing/unpairing. Then its all set. When the macmini is paired with a remote, then your apple tv remote should control the mini.

Alternatively, under system preferences and security; you can turn off the infrared receiver.
