When you filter Junk SMS on your iPhone, the notification still goes to your Apple Watch.
This defeats the purpose of enabling filtering.

The developer of a SMS app says this is an Apple bug.

I see people posting about this in the Apple forums, being ignored (no responses) and then Apple locking the threads since at least 2017. Notice one message in the Apple discussion board says 218 others have the same question, yet still no response.

See attached image. What can be done to get this addressed?

iOS 14 has it's own message filtering options in the settings, but muting notifications only works for filtered iMessages and 100% of message spam I see is SMS text, not iMessages. So, this feature is mostly useless.
