It just sounds stupid, how freaking hard is it to spell out or say phone? Doesn't take that much longer. And it just makes you look silly for abbreviating something so small anyway. So from now on, let's all call it iPhone 4 yes?

Get a hobby if an iPhone abbreviation on an iPhone thread bothers you so much. Ridiculous.

This thread = fail.

You posted on the Playstaion 3 board too, complaining about it being called PS3.

No. Boy, between your sig and this post you look silly and come off lazy and demanding.

Could just call it the 4. OP, wouldn't go on the crusade though, not worth it.

This is no different to people calling their iPod Touches iTouches. It's explicitly mentioned in the Forum Rules (Minor Problems item 10)...

This is different. I regularly refer to my MacBook Pros as MBPs and my MacBook Airs were referred to either as Airs or MBAs. IP4 makes sense and it's not incorrect. iTouch on the other hand is not the name of the device. If you want to shorten it, you'd have to call it iPT or Touch.
