I've looked a bit in google and if I understand correctly it's a file that stores that folder's icon or something like that.
I don't customize my icons AFAIK yet my folders grow this file everywhere. Not exactly everywhere, but certainly I don't want it anywhere:
I've had to add it to .gitignore and from time to time I mass eliminate them, until their inevitable come back.
How do I prevent its formation?
