Stop iPad connecting to Time Capsule

I have an existing WiFi network in my home and I recently added an Airport Time Capsule solely for backing up our MacBooks. I plugged the TC into my existing router and during the setup of the TC it asked me to create and name a new WiFi network.
The backups work just fine but lately, my iPad began automatically connecting to this new wireless network without even asking me. I assume it used the login stored in my iCloud Keychain. This network does not have Internet access so when it does this I lose Internet on my iPad and I have to go in and manually select my original home network. Sometimes the MacBooks do this also.
How do I stop my devices from connecting to the network on the TC without screwing up the backing up of the MacBooks?

Go to Wifi settings on the iPad and tell it to forget the TC network. Then go back to your Time Capsule and turn off wifi. There is no reason to have it on in your case.
