Stop keyboard switching to letters after hitting space bar.

I have looked around this morning for a way to do what i want but no luck so far.

is there a way to stop the keyboard from switching back to letters after hitting the space bar.

I find it annoying that when i am typing numbers and want to add a space between them that the keyboard switches back to letters after i hit the space bar.

Maybe there is a jailbreak solution.
