Stop Mac App Store window from resizing

I have a 15 inch MBP with a screen resolution of 1440 x 900 and dock hiding is on. Every time I open the Mac App Store, the window resizes so it goes all the way down to about 10 pixels form the bottom. I don't like that so I make it a bit smaller, but it goes back next time I open it. Is there any way to stop it from doing this? Thanks!
