Hi All,
Odd question. I have an iPad 2 screen (removed from iPad case) being connected via an HDMI converter to run off a Mac Mini. When the Mac Mini boots up the iPad screen has a perfect Apple logo and looks beautiful. However, about half way through the boot sequence, the screen changes from a 4:3 resolution to a 16:9 resolution and screws up the screen display. Image looks all elongated when on desktop.
I've tried a few apps like SwitchRes X to force the native 2048x1536 resolution but that just causes the screen to show "Out of Range" and no image is shown.
Is there a way to force MacOS to boot in the initial resolution it detected which is perfect for try iPad screen running via my converter?
Thanks
