How do you stop the optibay from automounting? I already tried modifying the fstab file and its not doing anything unless im messing up the drive name.
 
there's an applescript out there somewhere that allows you to stop volumes from mounting at boot - sounds like it'd do what you want.

not sure what it's called tho - maybe google for the obvious terms?
 
Im not sure, that looks like a click to unmount. I dont use the hdd often so I would like it always unmounted unless I physically go into Disk Utility and mount that drive. Things ive tried dont work and the drives always mount upon restart.
 
i did the fstab thing and I had to delete the existing fstab file, and replace it with a file made in textedit.

that worked for me
