Is anyone else finding that the stopwatch on the chronograph watch face is starting without being turned on?

The first couple of times this happened I assumed that maybe I had accidentally bumped it but I had it happen twice while watching Mad Max over the weekend when I definitely didn't touch the watch. Also none of the other complications on the face are starting up in this way.

I see mine on all the time but I'm sure we have to be setting it off somehow. I love the chronograph face but HATE the stopwatch complication lol. Wish we could change the orange color too

This happened to me only once in 3 weeks of wearing

yes happens to me every day multiple times. drives me insane. just an hour ago it was going for 20 minutes. i am also confused how to stop and delete it lol i always randomly hit all the buttons til its gone.

wish i could replace it with activity or something as a different option. i only like the face but have no use for stopping time

When the stopwatch is running the red button on the top right stops the counter and the grey button on the bottom right will record a lap. Once you hit the stop button the grey button will reset the stopwatch and simultaneously return you to the chronograph watch face, while the top right green button will start the stopwatch again continuing from where you stopped it.

I was having this trouble as well and was very glad I found this page. To end the frustration, I'm switching to another face that I don't like as well but will hopefully have fewer "issues." I was also having a problem with the second hand not moving but that was also corrected when I swapped to a different Watch face. Thanks for all who posted, it really helped me a lot.

Are you talking about the orange hand?

And I've this happen multiple times, too. I just figure I'm accidentally touching somehow, but never happens to any of the other complications on the face. so, I dunno.

Same problem here. The Chrono face is about the only one I like on the watch but wish I could get rid of the timer complication!

The orange second hand is only used during the stop watch feature. The normal second hand is on the smaller dial on the bottom of the watch face.

I upgraded to iOS11 and watchOS4 last night.
I have the modular face as default and when I lifted my wrist I kept getting the stopwatch!
Force touch and swipe up removed it.
Now my watch face stays modular.
Phew!

I’ve been having the same problem all day too after updating mine and use the My photos as my default. I just went to my faces and deleted the Chronograph from my faces and it stopped popping up
