Afternoon,

I have the 14 Pro 256 GB and for the second time in a week I’m getting a Storage Full message.

I first got the message when I tried to install IOS 16.0.2, I clicked into the storage under settings and found I had used 254 GB of 256 GB, I got rid of a few apps and a few Message / WhatsApp conversations, wouldn’t have even been 5 GB and all of a sudden it said I had use 96 GB of 256 GB.

This has also happened to a friend. Anyone else having this issue ?

Thanks Ross

I’m having the same issue, however I’m on an iPhone 12 Pro. Apparently the app Telegram was an issue, so I deleted it’s data, deleted the app, then re-downloaded it, and limited how much storage space it was allowed to take, note the minimum when you turn on limiting it, is 20gb.
Anyway this didn’t help as soon enough, it was filling up again. I deleted the app altogether and it got better, but still started filling up again.
I have turned my iPhone off and back on again, but fully expect it to over the next few days gradually take up the storage space again.
It must be an iOS 16 bug that is persistent through to iOS 16.0.2

There were other threads on this. Some had found a relationship berwee storage filling up and content it was trying to restore from iTunes. When they manually downloaded all of the shows they had on their previous iPhone the storage issue went away.

Thanks for the response guys.
I cleared a few more ok chats, turned the phone off and back on and it’s now saying I’ve used 98 GB
