GigaByte Vs Gibibyte. Depending on your computer, macs reads Gigabytes, windows, I believe, reads in GibiBytes, where 1024 Megabytes is 1GB. The iphone reads in Gigabytes, where 1000 Megabytes = 1GB. If you do the math. 9.7GB = 9.034 Gibibytes. With disk formatting and how files are stored on a disk, You lose a small amount empty space with every file if it doesn't fit exactly into a sector. So 9.034 is pretty close to 9.05.
