Storage taken up

I just looked at my storage and it says there is 36gb taken by "other".

My trash is emptied.

I am trying to collect ideas what could amount to 36gb and how I could free up some space.

Obviously others is everything that doesn't fit into the other categories, but 36gb on my 250gb seems a lot.
