Store or phone?

Well, I'm on AT&T, and I bought the iPhone for another line, and then I have to have it transferred...I'm concerned it's going to be a pain to do. Anyways, would I be better off going in to an AT&T store to get the upgrade transferred, or should I just call them? Thanks
