I had to cancel my store pick up order for tomorrow. They will not charge me, right ? The page says If you already paid for the item, we’ve issued you a refund... But I didn't get any email saying my order is cancelled
 
I believe that your card gets pre-authorized before the store pickup is available, but I don’t believe that the actual charge goes through until you actually pick it up. Either way you’re not going to be charged for a phone you didn’t pick up.

Good luck cancelling. I tried this morning to cancel my existing order and then reorder for pickup at my nearest Apple store. No luck, I’ve spoke to customer support on phone and they told me since my order is in status of ready to be pick up, they can’t cancel.

really? I had the option to cancel on the webpage and now it says it's cancelled
 
I cancelled one of the pre-order (512 GB model) in the morning and around 1 pm I got an e-mail that they have cancelled and that they are working in refunding. You'll get an e-mail eventually. It just takes some time.
