I live in the SF valley but work in hollywood
I have a Mac pro 1,1 2x3GHZ with a failing ati graphic card.
I called and went to the apple store but they can only tell me what Apple deems compatible as a replacement:
I need to upgrade to a better card, as I do 3D work, from various posts there are alternatives: cards with more than 512 ram and better cooling, such as the 4870, however they require some knowledgeable handling: potential reflashing etc... which is beyond what I know how to do.
Can anyone refer a shop/store that can sell and install (without wrecking my mac pro) in the LA area?
any suggestion (that you have had positive experience with) would be greatly appreciated
