Oh I was close to it. But then told the genius I am close with. And she said hell no your not paying. So that's how I ended up not paying.

Maybe they just told you that stuff about your RAM to get you to stop talking? Pretty sure that the Genius' get all kinds of geeks and nerds coming in, spouting off about how much more technical they are then said Genius.

In October when I was hit with raedon gate. They wanted to have me pay for the new logic board. The only reason I did not need to pay. Was I told a apple genius I am close with what happened. And she decided to convince management that I shouldn't need to pay.
Yes definitely they were trying to get me to be quiet.

90% of threads here don't deliver, seems like a lot of young people under 18 asking a lot of dumb questions.

Because you are not reading the entire sentence -- he is saying that he was told by "a (sic, an) Apple genius I am close with ..."
Would have been clearer to say "An Apple genius I know told me ...," but it wasn't totally obtuse -- I suspect that I'm not the only one that caught the meaning on the first go around.
Perhaps unfortunate for the OP, but at least that was a better answer than "I can't believe this happened to me, but ... "
