Storing files on iPhone

Is there a way to store a large amount of text onto my iphone without having to go onto the internet to look at it?

Can you put the text in the notes field in a contact?

If you are using a Mac, then open the text document and go to File -> Print. Then select the Save to PDF to iPhoto option. Sync that item from iPhoto to your iPhone. That is the best that I know of instead of emailing it to yourself...

Yes, Google around for "iphone data safari bookmark" and the like. Basically you can store data in a huuuuuuuge bookmark.

This bothers me. On my true classic 2G iPod, I can copy a txt file over and read it on my iPod. Why not allow drag and drop of files to the iPhone? Too easy?

Job has not figured out a way to charge for it yet so the option is in the air.
