Hi, I need some advice on what's going to be the best format to store all of my video files in.
I'm talking EyeTV 2 recordings (non HD) and ripped DVDs (which I haven't ripped yet.)
I've just got a nice large external HDD to store everything on.
I don't want to encode all this stuff into some format that turns out to be either stupidly low quality, bad compatibility etc.
It would also be cool if it could all be compatible with Front Row, and iTV (looking ahead to the future of course). What do most people use?

Thanks
Ed

i prefer mp4 over H.264 because mp4 take about 1/18 of the the time to encode. The quality between the two is barely noticible.
