storing video on external HDD using airport extreme?

if i connect a large (750gb or so) external hard drive to my airport extreme will it be able to stream the video well enough for me to watch using frontrow?

mainly it will be for watching programmes that i have downloaded. basically TV shows..

my macbook HDD is getting pretty full and i need more space, but want to keep it wireless..

Absolutely. You should even be able to watch HD video across your network. Hell, I can play games off shared drives.
