Interesting, wouldn't it be great if you could turn on the microphone and camera remotely to assist in tracking it down. Upload the pictures and sounds to a server

That's a pretty cool story. Makes me want mobile me, too bad I don't have any spare $$$.

Using the camera etc. would be pretty cool as well except you would run out of battery really quick. There should be a shut down mode (remote activated) where all it does is broadcast its location. That way the thief can't change settings etc (turn off gps) and the battery would last longer.

We will be seeing more stories like this, but with tragic endings. No phone is worth me walking around a strange neighborhood.
