Today I was at school and I turned off my MBP and closed the lid early. When I went to turn it back on it boots up I see the grey apple and right when it's about to go to the main screen it turns black. If I close the lid it goes to sleep and the light starts blinking, when I open it up it stops like it's awake for sleep but the screen doesn't turn on.

If I have to take it in should I take out the on apple ram?

Thanks

Today, my Macbook Pro also stalls at the initial light grey screen. It doesn't do anything. reseting the PRAM is the only command this thing will except and it doesn't fix anything. I'm assuming I have to take it to Apple now right?

Well it just started working right now for some reason. I'm still gonna take it in

Should I take the non apple ram out before I take it in? Anyone know why it would do that

take out the aftermarket RAM.

does the LCD stay on when you boot from the installation CD?

I didn't try booting from install disk. It would just go to the grey apple on start up and then go to black. Now it seems to be working. I dont know what would cause that
