I have a core duo iMac (20" running Leopard 10.5.2). I normally keep it in my lounge and all is well but I need to set it up in my Kitchen now. When I do so, I can no longer connect to the internet. The computer only intermittantly recognises my BT home hub and wont connect at all. If I take it back to the lounge it connects automatically and is fine (I've taken it back and forth several times). For an experiment I put it in the hallway, halfway point between the rooms and it connected but speeds were slow and the signal strength was all over the place.

Distance between hub and computer in the lounge is about 8 feet. Distance if the iMac is in the Kitchen is around 25 feet.

My immediate thought was interference naturally so I grabbed my G4 Powerbook (also running 10.5.2) and in exactly the same spot in the Kitchen is on full strength and the connection is great. I then tried it with an Asus EEEPC and that also has full strength and a great connection.

Just my iMac tragically unable to connect. Any ideas?
