I have an Apple Watch Series 4 (GPS+CELLULAR) and notice a strange problem. When I go out to exercise I just take the Watch and my AirPod Pros. I have four playlists downloaded to the Watch and they play perfectly (though I will get the momentary blackouts when I pass a Wifi network that my iPhone/Watch knows). But when I try to use the Cellular to stream from Apple Music, the playback will keep pausing - if it starts playing at all when I ride my bike. If I walk/jog through the same areas of our development, the problem is just about non-existent. (When checking the Watch Control Panel I get a steady 2 green dots out of 4.)

I would not think that the bike riding has anything to do with it - but as I said sitting outside our house (with all connections to our home Wifi and connections to my iPhone 11 turned off) or walking and out of range of our house and the iPhone the problem is almost non-existent.

Any ideas? Thanks

Do you have a bike computer? and any wireless sensors?
it might be possible those are interfering with your cellular

if so, try moving the computer mount somewhere else if you can. or try a ride without.

Nope nothing like that. Only electronics are the Watch and Airpod Pros. That’s what makes it so strange. Thanks.

Could be that the Apple Watch doesn’t have enough computing power to switch between cellular masts, as fast as a phone can ?

Well the distance I am riding I would not be shifting between cell towers.
