Hi.

Was wondering if anyone ever observed this.

My friend forgot his AppleID password, so we went thru the motions to get it reset and it took 24 hours for Apple to allow a password reset.

Fast forward a week after and I'm asked to check the phone (iPhone XS Plus) because there is an error when trying to download an app.

I looked and one of the kids decided to be funny and changed the AppleIP name, but not the email address.

I tried to log in to change this, but he also changed the password, so another password reset requested.

Here is were it got weird, instead of receiving or be allowed to do the password reset, the whole account was deleted!

Tried multiple times to log in and the message was the same, account doesn't exist.

Waited 24 hours, just in case and tried again, nothing.

So I decided to create a new Apple ID, using the same email and name and phone and it went thru as a new account!

So yes, the account was simply deleted.

Anyone experienced this before?

Is this a normal security thing?
