Hi all,

Not so long ago my MBP needed a new logic board and so Apple (well an authporised repair company) fitted a new one). Since then, the fans come on more than they ever did. It is currently on now the laptop is cold to the touch and I'm just browsing the web. Sounds like the laptop is about to take off!

Never done this before. What I have noticed is it only does it on websites that are heavy with adverts (if that makes sense) does anyone else have any issues like this? I browse using Chrome.

Doesn't seem right to me and never did this before.

Any help would be appreciated!
Ben

Try an SMC reset, and if that doesn't work to slow the fans, take your MBP back to the authorized repair service that did the work. All work is warranted for 90 days by Apple and their authorized service centers.

Thanks, I had to reset the SMC when I got it back as the backlight keyboard didn't work or the sound. I can do it again though. I'd rather take it to Apple (they should have a record of the repair too) as the company that repaired it damaged it. Well, they damaged the hard case but if I didn't have that on I'd have a very badly scratched laptop. I wasn't sure if it was just the fact the website was so heavy with adds and that it Chrome then used more CPU?

It has stopped now and isn't even warm.

Thanks again.
