My rMBP is only 5 days old and has been working like a dream until I just did the 2.0 update. When I closed it the screen wouldn't switch off. I tried it again, then same thing. Tried a third time and it did switch off but then would not come back on again for close to a minute.

I've gfxCardstatus installed. Would that be anything to do with it?

Whenever I install an update like this I follow a ritual that has never failed me:

1. Remove any external drives, shut down all apps
2. Install Update
3. Let computer reboot to login screen (or desktop)
4. Shut down MBP
5. Turn on MBP, Reset SMC, then Clear PRAM
6. Boot into single user mode (command s) and run fsck
7. Boot to desktop
8. Repair file permissions

Total Time < 4 mins
Stable System = Priceless
