Safari has just recently started displaying a blacked out URL bar for a split second when I open it. Any idea what might be causing this?

Just curious (and apologize if this is the wrong forum).. why jailbreak iOS7? What real benefits are there?

I used to jailbreak back in the old days.. so I could take videos on my iPhone 1st Gen, etc.. but I guess I'm at a loss why you'd jailbreak today. :)

My main use is to run the Firewall IP app to block ads and other connections, sort of like LittleSnitch. I also like to be able to tinker with my things, so there are some jailbreak apps like a Finder for that.

Gotcha, thanks :)

There several reasons. Bitesms or something like that, safari download managers, ifile, ect. Not to mention plenty of aesthetic reasons.

Although ios8 will probably negate several of those reasons.
