Strange characters

I've had my Macbook for about 2 weeks, and in the last few days I've gotten some weird characters in one of my widgets and Adium. See the attached images. Anbyone experienced this and/or know what's causing it?

Open Font Book to resolve duplicates and validate your fonts.

It's either font book duplicate fonts or a 3rd party font program. I get funky characters in widgets, safari and MS Entourage every time I have Suitcase Fusion running.

Yeah, I've just installed loads of fonts. Do I have to search through it manually for duplicates?

No, Font Book, which is mentioned a couple of times earlier, does this automatically when you ask it to...

I was getting odd characters in iChat before, but I just put them on my Ignore list.

Anyway, I agree that the new fonts are likely the issue and that Font Book should resolve it for you.

I had to delete the fonts to fix the problem, but I deleted too many! Now I have the wrong fonts everywhere, including this website.

Is there a way of re-installing the original fonts?
