strange credentialing issue

The last couple of days my mid-2014 rMBP running 10.10.1 seems to have logged me out of iCloud and then also Orbicule Undercover. I've had to log back into both. Weird. Does Yosemite periodically sign people out of online services in order to ensure security or something like that?
