Since upgrading my late 2011 MBP to El Capitan, the following has happened:
My desktop has several folders, each dedicated to specific projects and such. Since upgrading to El Capitan, each of these unique folders now contains all the other folders. So, instead of eight unique folders, I now have eight identical folders, each containing all the others. I have tried all sorts of ways to manually get things back to the original form, but to no avail.
It sounds like a folders preference issue, but I can't see a remedy there, either.
Thanks.
