Strange Email Issue

Have an imap account as one of my emails. But sometimes when I check my mails, the emails for this account will not update and neither will the "Updated" section on the phone itself when in the email account, it also gives an incorrect username/password message sometimes aswell.

But, if I login to the account via my browser on my computer, the email account on the phone will work again for a few hours and then go back to the state I talked about at the start.

Dont understand it at all, so if anyone has an idea would be greatly appreciated
