I Live Where I Live
I just recieved a rather strange error message. After waking up my computer the screen darkened and a transparent box appeared that read in several languges "You must restart your computer. To do so either hit the restart button or hold the power button for a few seconds"

i have absolutly no clue what caused this and i dont have any photos because the whole system was inaccesable.

any ideas....

I've seen that happen before, it's happened once on my PM G4. I have no idea what caused it the first time. After it happened I booted from my install CD's and ran Disk Utility, I don't think it actually found anything wrong, and I repaired permissions. I haven't had it happen again, and it's been at least 6 months since it happened. Now I've also upgraded to Panther since it happened, are you running Panther or Jaguar?

it's a kernel panic. happens sometimes.

if it happens a lot, that'd be cause for concern.
