I just bought a 14" 1.0 Ghz iBook G4 second hand. The battery behaves erratically:

If plugged in, the computer will die when unplugged. You can then restart it on battery power and it will run for about an hour-hour and a half. Also, the battery always indicates full charge i.e. 98,99, or 100% and then just either dies or goes straight to 1%.

Any ideas as top what could be going on? Ive tried resetting both the PRAM and PMU, with no change.
