We've got a DRM-free enhanced ebook chapter up for free to test out our build. It's: mime type "application/epub+zip" and contains text, pictures, sounds, videos, slideshows.
We put it up and shared the link about, encouraging people with iPads to grab it and test it out.
Some folks have no trouble, others get the message
"Safari cannot open this file"
Some of those people finally get it to come down once they have cleared cache. Some get it to come down by simply waiting for a long time.
We are trying to find a commonality between those having trouble, but it has proved difficult. (Many users do not know what version of the iOS they are using, many do not not know which generation of iPad they are using)

Any ideas?
