So last week I decided to sync my entire photo library to iCloud from my laptop. I also turned on iCloud Photo Library on my phone.

Now as a precursor, I had recently cleaned up my photo libary by deleting thousands of unneeded photos. A process that took days. Today all of it has finally caught up and loaded and i noticed that seemingly every photo I've ever taken is some how back in my Libary. All the photos i deleted PRIOR to uploading from my laptop. What's worse is that I'm pretty sure if it's in my photo libary on my phone that means it's back on my laptop. I really want to love iCloud but it hasn't 'worked' without problems yet. I'm not even going to mention how messed up my iTunes library is these days. I'm sure it's my mistake, but i wish it was easier to understand.

Hi,

Did you clean your photo library before or after turning on iCloud Photos library?
