Strange iPhone error - any ideas

I got this iPhone error while syncing starting last night:

"The iPhone "iPhone" cannot be synced. You do not have the privilege to make changes."

Eh?

I looked on the web and found a suggestion to reauthorize the computer which I've done but it failed to fix it.

Ideas?

Hmm try many things such as doing a hard reset on the iPhone.

Restarting your mac.

If you see the iPhone on iTunes. Do a restore.

But it has to be something in the settings of iTunes.

Also try reinstalling iTunes.
