Strange..Large amounts of data being transferred from my iPhone...

I was looking at my AT&T bill and noticing the data usage this is what is shows:

09/16 07:41 AM wap.cingular Internet/MEdia Net Sent 21546KB

Basically saying that I sent 21.5 MB at 7:41 in the morning. Which I might add that the phone was in my pocket and not in actual use..

Has anyone else experience this. My friend looked at his at his and sure enough it shows large amounts of data being tranferred and strange times:

How is that? I don't get that many emails maybe one or 2 at night and the emails that I get are never that large.

Back with system 1.4 I had a bunch of data being transferred one night. Intl data roaming was on but mail auto checking was put in manual. Nevertheless I has 50 MB transferred in a 8 hour period while I was asleep and the problem was I was in Italy and inccured the roaming charges.
