So I need to copy a whole bunch of files (1.3 GB, approximately - several thousand files) from my NTFS partition to my HFS+ partition. I booted into Vista, selected the files, and started to copy them over. About 2/3 of the way through, it just...stopped. I tried manually copying over the next one in sequence, and it just wouldn't go. No errors or anything, I just dragged the file over, released the mouse, and nothing happened. It wouldn't copy any more files over to anywhere in the partition. I tried creating a new text file in the partition, and again, nothing happened. I updated macdrive to 7.1, rebooted, and tried again. This time I got the weird problem about 1/2 way through. What's going on? It's not an out of space problem; I've got almost 10 GB free on my OS X partition (although I only have < 1GB left on my NTFS partition). I've resorted to doing it from OS X, which is much slower (the NTFS driver for OS X isn't nearly as fast as MacDrive is for Vista).
