Strange marker in iCal - solved!

Can anyone tell me what this is and how to get rid of it?

It's not part of any of my calendars, and I can't right or left-click on it.

When it first appeared, there was a message about GIMP being updated but I've not seen that message since. I'm using iCal 3.0 if that makes any difference.

This little, very helpful line tells you what time it is right now. So you can see how much time is left before the next event etc.

It's the current time marker.
