Strange Mountain Lion install flashing grey screen
Hi guys,
I just installed Mountain Lion from Snow Leopard and I think I've mucked it up. I seem to be able to use applications just fine, but whenever I hover over my dock, my desktop flashes grey and the dock disappears. I can't click on any of my dock items.
I suspect 2 things I might have done wrong:
1 - I did a software update on Snow Leopard and didn't restart before I downloaded and installed Mountain Lion. Could these things have interfered with each other?
2 - The 4gb Mountain Lion download looked like it was going to take all day on my slow connection, but it said it was done when I got back from lunch. This was very surprising because the download bar was so low before I left. Maybe my internet got cut off and it thought it was finished downloading? Did I install an unfinished download?
Is there anything I can do to try re-installing Mountain Lion without having to pay for it again in the app store?
Thanks for any help, couldn't find anything on this..
