If I constantly move around the cursor with a trackpad, I notice that the cursor freezes for a bit maybe every 5 seconds. I've narrowed it down to either my usb-c hub (usb 3, hdmi, card reader) or the monitor (Dell U2414H). In particular, it happens only if the HDMI cable is plugged into the hub AND the monitor has a different input selected, for example, that of my PC. There is no problem if I select the HDMI input to that of the laptop. Really bizarre.

Other info: Catalina 10.15.4; automatic graphics switching does nothing; laptop's GPU consumes 18W if I plugin the hub and attach the HDMI cable, no matter what input is selected, even if the monitor is turned off.
