Strange name on my iPhone ¿?

hello

I hired a new guy, he gave me his number. When I wrote his number on my iPhone it shows automatically a different name of another person all of the sudden. That number has never been introduced in my iPhone (which I got it brand new from Apple) and I do not recognize that name. Then, the guy does not recognize that name either.

Any ideas why my iPhone is showing a complete strange name when introduce this phone number?

Maybe the iPhone recognizes the guy.

Do you sync your Facebook contacts? Might of been someones old number you are friends with on Facebook? Or on a different social media app? Not really sure how else that could happen.
