Strange password prompt and iphone shuts down overnight

Got a new iPhone 4 as a replacement from maintenance 2 days ago. Backed it up from iCloud.

Both nights it has shutdown. Went to sleep with 100%, in the morning powered off. Trouble starting it up again. Second time it was a bit easier but took several tries. Had 81% battery left so hadn't run out. No idea why it had shut down.

Possibly on an unrelated note (or not). Been getting weird password prompts at random times. Has happened after both times I reset the phone. Not my address. I only have one in my apple id.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!
