Strange Popup

I was searching for some free textures for a photo project I am working on and got a popup on one site indicating that I had a virus and needed to call a numer. All I did was close the browser and run my CCLeaner. I am correct that this is just a scam and no need to do anything else regarding my MacBook. Thanks for any info.
