I'm fixing a black MacBook (Core 2 Duo / 2.0 GHz) that was in a beer accident. I could get it to turn on if I held down the power button for about 5 seconds, but the keyboard/touchpad didn't work, even after cleaning some corrosion off the logic board with alcohol, so I replaced the top case (if anyone wants to try fixing the old, I'm willing to sell for $15 shipped OBO). Now that it's possible to actually USE the computer, I've been testing it for weirdness. So far, it's behaving aside from strange power issues.
As I mentioned above, I have to hold down the power button for about 5 seconds or it won't turn on. It also shuts off when coming out of sleep mode if it's been asleep for over 5 seconds. I've tried resetting the PRAM and PMU, battery and power adapter both seem to work fine.
