just decided to do a clean install of Big Sur so I formatted my USB drive that used to have a Pop_OS! install on it then I used the command line prompt of

Code:
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Beta.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Beta.app

I watched the terminal wipe the USB drive then install Big Sur to it.

I just wiped my MacBook Air SSD then installed Big Sur from the USB drive.

Once installed I opened terminal to find this. WTF

Looks like my Unifi Wifi network was assigning my computers NETBios name from a previous POP_OS! install associated with my MAC address.
