I've had my iPhone for quite some time now, and I've never had any problems before with my Gmail and iPhone Mail syncing. Unfortunately, it's really acting screwy right now.

Earlier today, I created a new filter in my Gmail account on my laptop for emails that I send to myself. (Occasionally I send notes to myself via my Gmail account.) I created a filter for emails sent from: <myemailaddress>@gmail.com to skip my inbox and go straight to a label called "Notes to Self."

After setting up the filter, I quickly realized that would include even emails to other people sent from my address, so I deleted the filter. But all of the emails had already been moved out of my inbox and into the label, so I had to access the emails in the "Notes to Self" label and move all of them back to my inbox.

Then I created a filter for emails sent to: <myemailaddress>@gmail.com and from: <myemailaddress>@gmail.com and that did what I wanted the filter to accomplish. I thought everything was resolved because my Gmail account on my laptop looked fine now, but my iPhone Mail is still acting up. About 90% of the emails that show up in my inbox now on my iPhone Mail just show that they're from me, and many emails from other people that show up in my Gmail account on my laptop don't show up in my inbox on the iPhone. It's completely out of sync, and I don't know how to get the two synced back up. New emails I receive in my inbox seem to be in sync and show up on both, but I have plenty of other emails in my inbox that I'd like to have show up on my iPhone as well.

I was hoping I could resolve the issue by deleting my Mail account on my iPhone and then starting over from scratch setting it up again. But when my emails loaded, the same sync issue persists.

Any advice?
