This has now happened two mornings in a row and i'm stumped as to why.
I listen to music on the iMac via front row the night before, and the iMac is scheduled to sleep at 1:00AM, this happens fine. In the morning however, i try to wake it up using the remote, and it will, but the screen will flicker on, then go blank, but not turn off.
The only way to remedy this is by putting the iMac to sleep again, and waking it. But when i try to put it to sleep, it sorta goes into a half-sleep, so i hear the HDD spin down and USB devices turn off, but the screen will stay on, but black, and i can hear the fan whirring.
I end up having to hold the power button and turn it back on. Sorry for the long post, but I can't think of what could be causing all this. Any help would be appreciated.
